The kiddos are back to school! Woohoo! I can finally get some serious writing in.
I know many of you are disappointed that you don’t have book six in your hands yet. And I promise I’m working as fast as I can to get these stories out. Not only did writing the Companion books and working to merge the big event that’s happen there throw a wrench into the plans, but the real life events that happened back in April slowed things down as well.
You’ve probably already read the article where I mentioned my daughter was hit by a car. She’s getting much better for those of you wondering. Although she was back on her own in only a few short weeks, it’s been very hard for me to write since then. Seeing your child in a hospital bed with no one telling you if she would live or die (not lying…those first 36 hours were so hard. They couldn’t say because of brain swelling.), brings a certain amount of perspective. Life is fragile and very precarious. I have three children. One in college who know looks both ways like crazy, and two in elementary school who run around like they are immortal fiends. Summer was spent enjoying more moments with the family.
Now that everyone is back in school, though, this worrying mama has nothing better to do with her time than write. 😉 So, there should be a new book soon, my friends!
