Delve into a riveting world of werewolves and young women with unexplained abilities.

“Best book series ever! I recommend everyone read these books.” Julie H. Read Your Writes Book Reviews

Gabby’s brain is like a human fish finder. It comes in handy when she wants to avoid people. Mostly men. They seem to like her a bit too much. It’s lonely being different, but she’s adapted to it. Really. She just wishes she knew why she is different, though.

In her search for answers, she discovers a hidden community of werewolves. She immerses herself in their culture, learning about their world until she meets Clay. He’s unkempt, prone to mood swings, intense without saying a word, and he thinks Gabby is his.

It’s going to take every trick she knows to convince Clay to go away, and every bit of willpower not to fall for him when she discovers the man beneath the rough exterior.

Judgement has begun…

I’ve been reading my entire life. I’ve read a lot of good books, mediocre books, and some downright amazing books. Your books keep me attentive to every word of them. I thoroughly loved the free E-Book Hope(less). After finishing it 4 hours after starting it, I instantly got on to Amazon’s Kindle Store, and bought the second one. I don’t think I’ll be getting much sleep these days with these books. You have a vivid and creative mind. Keep doing what you do, because it’s amazing!

I’ll not only tell you when the date is set, but I also plan to discount my other two books Touch and Shadows and Light over the summer. I wouldn’t want anyone to go without something to read. πŸ˜€

It is refreshing to read a paranormal romance that is without all the adult undertones taking it over. I love the concept, and the interwoven story that plays throughout. I love that you can build a novel that would normally be daunting to read out of these 200+ page novels, and I can’t wait to see where you are going with this! I wish I had known about the free Hopeless before I bought it, but I can’t wait to read book4. I have been dying to see more about Clay and Gabby, and see what Charlene’s story is.

Danielle, I’m sorry you ended up purchasing Hope(less). It should be free pretty much everywhere. Can you email me with the site from which you purchased it so I can check into why it’s not free? As for Clay and Gabby, by popular demand, I will be writing from each guy’s POV. So you will get more of each couple. Just don’t ask when it will be done. πŸ˜‰

Wish granted! Clay and Gabby are back in book 3. But don’t skip book 2. This is a series that builds on itself and you might be a bit lost without book 2. And because you’re not alone in wanting more Clay and Gabby, I’m writing Clay’s Hope, book 1 of the Judgment of the Six Companion Series. You’ll get inside Clay’s head…finally!

I just finished Hope(less) for the second time. I read it several weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. When I went into Apple e-books to write a review, I was shocked to see they had it classified under “Children’s Books”. Since it hadn’t struck me particularly as a child’s book, I decided to read it again to see if it struck me as suitable for children or even young adults. I guess it would depend on your definition of a young adult. Perhaps it was classified as such because it didn’t contain graphic sex scenes.

I’m in my sixties and I get so tired of authors substituting sex for plot that I actually avoid graphic sex novels. I have no desire to read “Fifty Shades of Grey”, but I do have a desire to read the remaining books in this series, especially if they are as good as this first book.

One thing I noticed with regard to your grammar throughout this book was that you used the phrase “go with” without an identifying pronoun such as “me” or “us”. Was there a reason for that?

Please keep up your refreshing style of writing and get Apple to reclassify your books as something other than children’s books so other adult readers can enjoy them. Now to go purchase the second book!

Thanks for reading and commenting! I’m not sure why Apple categorized it as Children’s. Since I don’t publish to Apple directly, I’m not sure there is much I can do about the category, unfortunately. However, as you noted, the book is a sweet romance without any graphic content. Ideally, I think mature YA best describes the genre niche/category for the series.

As for the grammar…since I write in first person, I try to keep the character’s internal dialogue and thoughts realistically sprinkled with incomplete thoughts, distractions, and grammar mistakes. Maybe it’s just my head, but I rarely think with proper grammar in mind even though I know it (well, most of it πŸ˜‰ ).

    Hi there!
I’ve found your book in internet as a free – a I thought it will be a free sample, but it was a whole book, and that was really nice. The second surprise was that this book was much much better than a lot of books I’ve read recently and which cost me a fortune. I am sure I will buy your books in the future- I just hope they’re available in polish bookstores. Good luck!

Hi Melissa, I got your book Hope(less) as a free book a few weeks ago. I read Australian Rural Romance books and am not usually interested in paranormal romance but I gave this book a shot … and LOVED it πŸ™‚ As soon as I finished it I went and bought (Mis)fortune which I finished a few minutes ago. I am now about to start (Un)wise which I also bought. I am loving that there are so many interesting people and stories and I want to know so much more about them all. I enjoy the fact that you don’t feel the need to have ‘sex scenes’ to tell your stories. I have also bought (Un)bidden and Clays Hope and am already watching and waiting for book 5. Ok, that’s enough from me, I’m off to sit in front of my fire and start Book 3.

I’m glad you’re enjoying them, Kelly! I do try to keep the sex out of my YA books. You may notice a vague mention in (Un)wise, and a bit stronger of a mention in (Un)bidden. Both mentions were to further the plot and to explain/clarify their abilities, so hopefully the scenes added to the story rather than detracted from it. Let me know what you think if (Dis)content when it arrives. πŸ˜€

This series has consumed me so unbelievably much. I’m a big time supernatural reader, so when I found this book for free on kindle I was ecstatic! I have read all of their stories (the other 4 I’ve read in the past week, seriously!!) I was so consumed however that every time I had to stop reading I felt like I was missing something. I was so grateful for the audio companion I bought to go with it. Without it I felt like I was missing one of my favorite shows or something lol. You are a wonderful author and I will be reading more of your work while I wait for Olivia’s story to come out😊
